It was our first time selling a house, and we didn’t really know who to chose or what to expect, but having connections to the area we wanted to chose a local business and support, and the house we liked was being sold by Scoffield Stone likewise. Such a good decision! Scoffield dealt with our sale/purchase and I honestly cannot praise Alex or Claire highly enough, they are amazing! They constantly provided updates, chased enquiries and are really friendly and easy to talk to as well, which helps a lot with the anxiety of a house sale! When arranging viewings for our sale the process was smooth & easy to do so. Communication is honestly excellent with this estate agents (Alex and Claire), emails are always answered same day, which when you are selling/buying is such a reassurance. Cannot thank the team enough! Alex, Claire, Paul, Liz, Dawn - you’re all amazing at what you do (and more but these are the only names I remember, sorry!) Have already recommended them to friends who are looking to sell in the future, would recommend Scoffield Stone to anyone! & the welcome to your new home box is a lovely touch too! Thank you 😊

Firstly, Paul visited to appraise my property and we discussed a sale price I decided on the package where a video of your property is taken, together with photos. I've got to say, the video was amazing and everyone I showed it too, was super impressed by the detail and quality. Within an hour of my property going live on Rightmove, I had a viewing booked. A couple of hours later, another viewing booked. The first viewer, viewed the following day and made an offer, which I accepted. Communication with the sale negotiator, Claire, was excellent. This is the third time Scoffield Stone have sold a property for me. I go back because the quality of the service is excellent and the team are always approachable. I will add, as I'm conveyancer, I deal with estate agents every day. For me, Scoffield Stone stand out, for all the right reasons. I would highly recommend this local agent, who always delivers. Our experience with this estate agency was unfortunately quite underwhelming. One of the main concerns was a breach of confidentiality. Instead of speaking directly with myself the homeowner, they shared sensitive information with another party — who wasn’t the legal party involved. We raised this with them and were reassured it wouldn’t happen again, but the same issue occurred numerous times, which was disappointing. We also didn’t find the staff very approachable and felt they lacked communication throughout the process. There were long periods — even months — where we heard nothing at all, and we constantly had to chase our vendor himself for updates. It often felt like we were left in the dark during a very important and stressful time. What stood out the most, though, was the end of the process. After everything was completed, there was no effort to acknowledge or celebrate the move, just a generic email..No congratulations, no thank you. It all felt very transactional and impersonal. While we’re happy to be in our new home, the journey there didn’t feel supported or well-handled...It felt like we were just a number!
